Torchwood

Founded by Queen Victoria following the events in “Tooth and Claw”, Torchwood (an anagram of Doctor Who) was an organisation devoted to the protection of Earth from alien forces. As such, there’s some overlap with U.N.I.T. Torchwood eventually got its own, eponymous spinoff show with a more grownup bite.
