Mandragora Helix

The Mandragora Helix was a malevolent space energy that didn’t want humans to venture out into the galaxy and therefore, reasonably, travelled in the TARDIS back to the Italian Renaissance, where it purported to be the mythical god of a murderous cult in order to prevent a party involving Leonardo da Vinci.
