Elders

The Elders lived in a civilised, scientifically advanced society, separated from the savage cavemen outside. The way that they maintained their level of superiority, however, was by capturing cave people and draining them of their life force. They thought the cave people lesser beings and the act thus justified. Alas, it was the act itself that made them less civilised.
