Mary Poppins moonlights as Eliza Doolittle and The Great Intelligence feeds countless labourers to his carnivorous snowmen
The Doctor and Clara assemble a team in order to Ocean’s-11 into a maximum security bank guarded by a telepathic space cow

Clara is fed up of The Doctor putting her on the shelf, so she colours in her face and is almost out of the door for her second date with world’s worst civilian-murdering flirt Danny Pink when the TARDIS phone starts ringing off the hook.
The next thing they remember is dropping memory worms in a conference room full of strangers, a motley crew of gifted misfits gathered together by the mysterious Architect to break reputedly the most impregnable bank in the universe.
Between them and their promised loot for which their past selves agreed to risk everything stand the telepathic guilt-sniffing Teller, amoral security nut Ms Delfox, and maybe some soldiers? Because the bank’s interiors are nothing but camouflage.

Trivia: the Seventh Doctor wouldn’t wait for a solar storm to open the vault. He’d have Ace explode the bastard to kingdom come with Nitro-9!
Belated toast to the late, great Nicholas Parsons: his fate in Seventh Doctor story Curse of Fenric is one of only two occasions when Doctor Who has reduced me to inconsolable tears. (The other being a palatic viewing of Fires of Pompeii, two decades later).
Summary: Hustle in Space!
Rating: 4.1/5 crims having their brains slurped out. Yuck.
He-ey! What’s up? How’s everyone been? Good? Reasonable? I’m hanging on! I know I’ve been away, but wanted to step back into it for this gem. Time Heist. Doc gets a phone call and suddenly everyone is sitting around touching amnesia worms. Gross! Do these little guys eat your memories or release some weird neurotransmitters or just poison you a little and make your memories go numb?
You know I like the fact that this improves on the rewatch. Once you know the secrets, it’s that much more fun watching things unfold. I was internally giggling with glee as the Doctor goes on about how much he HATES the architect, smiling with relief thinking, no Clara, that “bomb” isn’t going to kill anyone, and finally making sense of why Rogue’s face did that weird morph thing at the beginning. Love the double reveal regarding the six push pop things. Doctor claims he doesn’t know what they are, then later reveals they are suicide shredders. Even later we learn, hello- they were disguised transporters!
Final bit, is it just me or is Karabraxos juuust incredibly fun to say? Right up there with Raxacoricofallapatorious.
Rating: Remember that game where you had to fit puzzle pieces into slots shaped for them while a timer ticked, and if you weren’t fast enough the entire board popped up and the pieces flew everywhere? Well that, but when you win.
